DIY IKAT ART

The Ikat is a traditional fabric with a rich history.  Its name originates from the Malaysian word meaning ‘to tie’, due to the technique used to create these vibrant textiles.  The pattern has been making a big splash in the design world for a few years now,  and here’s a way to incorporate that bohemian vibe into your own home.

With just a sheet of bristol board and Scotch® Brand Expressions Tape you can easily create this ikat inspired piece of art.  The colors and patterns available easily mix and match resulting in that bohemian look.   Or  you can select a unique combination that coordinates with your decor!
